Three dirty music junkies met at the now deceased legendary Vilnius (Lithuania) electro club Stereo45 and after hours of drunken talk decided to play some records together. At first they were named NESAKYK MAMAI! DJs (eng. Don’t Tell Ya Mom) and i guess they were pretty drunk when they decided to take that name, after a while a bolt of wisdom has struck em and they decided to change their lithuanian name, which sounded like indian tribe or some kind of sandwich, into more comprehensive one. Thus, METAL ON METAL was born. Immediately after changing the name, they rushed to make some t-shirts with it, to see if it still looks ok, i guess it looked ok.

King Volcano made me do it! Well here is the story .. between 2 deadlines i got this album “Nid & Sancy - Color At The Darkest Disco”. The first time i listened to it i was like… hm yeah ok… it’s good but nothing major… but thats probably why i wasn’t focussed and cause i was jammed between fucking deadlines with Rob Zombie thoughts and clients in main victim roles 
….enough bs-ing… Nid & Sancy are good, believe me here are a few quotes from their website:
“We call it Electronic Punk or Electropunk, it´s still punk music in spirit, but done with synths”
“No Fuck all, No disco, No heart , No soul , No sweat , no ideas, just fucking machines”

If you never heard of Yuksek and you think you know something about french electro you better educate yourself quick cause this guy is going places. Last night in Tivoli Theatre in Dublin was too fakin’ tastic no matter not many people showed up. Big thanks to the guys from Sublime for bringing him to the island and I hope it’s not the last time

Half-broken guitars, rusty strings, hand me down amps and borrowed basses, pianos with dead keys (always in the middle of course), pirated software! and cheap pre-amps with USB ports, on the spot songs (improv makes for excitement), paper towels on bongos + bass boosters make for a neat drum sound, stolen kazoos, late nights or early mornings (sleep deprivation), notebooks and notebooks full of lyrics (I have 100’s of songs), taped conversations, home videos turned sound effects, rusty tambourines (not to be confused with rusty trombones), computer savvy, old processors with limited ram and broken monitors that make your amp go “BUZZZZ!!!!!”, everything from NES ZAP guns (intro of “A Diagram To The Stars”) to oscillating fan blades (”Piano Dust”) to Greg Dorris (”Such is the Fate of the Cynical”), tape recorders and penny whistles, lo-fi for lo-fi’s sake (somebodies gotta stand up for the little people), Deoxyribonucleic acid, a fascination with space, relationships sheeeeesh, NES and guitar hero, hookahs and Jack Daniels and freaking Ouzo, Salvador Dali Bill Hicks T Rex, cross country trips and arrest records, nothing matters but making records. Uffff must’ve been hard to write this

Dear god it’s Monday! And Huge disappointment for a start.
Woke up.. checked email and good friend of mine has sent
me few links for a few very very interesting songs. At first i was
shocked cause i’m a really big fan of the Daft Punk, but after
few minutes of agony i realized that im not so big fan of them
cause of these songs… i was fooled like everybody else.
Or maybe they just pointed out that people are not reading cd
descriptions or credits..including me.All used song are listed

Great gig last night in Whelans in Dublin (Ireland). Junior Boys were keeping excited few hundred 25-30 something for a little more than an hour. Since there was no teenageres I was pleased to realize that there’s no smelly armpits anywhere and then it struck me. Fine flow of someone’s middleaged butt product curved around our heads and rocked us more deep into the music

Junior Boys are backed up with “mental” (positively) drummer on stage who was taking care of most of the beat structure. Rest of it is of course still electronic. All in all they sounded great in small r ‘n’ r club. Crowd was enjoying every minute.
